Audiology Administrative Professional

ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP is looking for an Administrative Professional to add to our elite Audiology Department. This position will report to Assistant Director of Audiology Operations with direct over sight from the Senior Director of Audiology. This role will be heavily involved in insurance benefits verification, ordering of all hearing aids and relevant supplies.  This role requires constant communication with Audiologist and all vendors associated with the Audiology department. This role will work closely with the Accounting Department and the Billing Department.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance benefits for hearing aid patients.
  • Order all hearing aids and supplies for the 42 locations from the respective vendors
  • Order all Audiology department supplies for the 42 locations from the respective vendors
  • Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos;
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Maintains historical records by creating pdfs and filing documents.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Contribute to a strong vendor relationship through positive interactions.
  • Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and vendor issues that arise

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards
  • Advance computer skills in MS Office
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
